About Data Security
It is important to us to protect our client's data, and to minimize the chance of any data loss.

Safety First

Part of our policy at eye 4 image is to ensure that we use safe and secure software and services to protect your information and your Web site. If we feel that a vendor has security problems that they are unwilling or unable to promptly correct, we will not use that vendor. On one occasion we even migrated a large number of Web sites completely at our expense in order to ensure their safety. You come first, not our convenience.

One way we protect our and our client's data is to block access from Web intruders.
Our computers are connected to the Internet through a router with a firewall installed to block electronic intruders.
In addition, our individual computers have been configured to make them virtually invisible to the Web.
We have redundant levels of anti virus software in place that automatically block E-mail virii, detect attempted virus intrusions from Web sites, and automatically clean or quarantine detected virus files.
Power loss can also cause a loss of data or system corruption.
Each of our computers is powered through a UPS system as well as an additional surge suppressor to allow for orderly shutdown in the event of a loss of power.
Our client data drives are backed up with regularly scheduled backups, both to separate machines in our office and remotely to a facility in Virginia. We follow that up with regular backups to CDs that are then stored in a safe deposit box.
Before we make any changes to files on our machines we back up the prior version.
To further protect your data, before we update a Web site online we also back up the entire Web site to a local computer.
As one final step, when we design your Web site, we also provide you on request with a copy of your site on a CD.
As you can see, both you and the safety of your information are very important to us.
